Laurel suggested they work alternate shifts at the Hide to avoid working together, but Jai quickly dismissed the idea.

Jai retorted, “Laurel, you left me. You chose this, and now you want me to jump through hoops and bend over backward to organize some impossible rota just so that you don’t feel uncomfortable.”

When Jai mentioned wanting to take Archie to the cinema, Laurel informed him that Gabby had already planned to spend time with the children. “I’m sure you can ring her. He is my son,” Jai declared.
