Anyone who knows me knows how much I enjoy the catty villains of the small screen, from the super and sociopaths to the campy soap opera women. I have always been on a quest to bring mad Maya back to Coronation Street and harbor nostalgia for Lorraine Chase’s antics on Emmerdale. Introducing Beth Cordingley’s Ruby Fox Milligan has been a delight with her sharp one-liners and self-centered nature, perfectly embodying the archetypal soap villain. But Ruby has one goal: to bring down Kim Tate, the undisputed queen of soap bad girls.
Kim Tate has been a master of her profession, with Claire King delivering an impeccable performance. Kim’s return in 2018 was highly anticipated, and she did not disappoint, wreaking havoc and reclaiming Home Farm. However, over time, Kim seemed to soften, losing some of her fierce edge. But the tides are turning, and it appears Kim is ready to unleash her fury once more.
In recent episodes, Kim’s wedding day drama with Harriet’s betrayal and her subsequent heroic act during the deadly hurricane showed glimpses of the old Kim. Yet, she has allowed Will’s ex-girlfriend Rose to overstep boundaries with no real consequences. But now, Kim is set to find out about Rose’s deceit, and the wicked Kim we all love is poised to return.
Now, onto today’s shocking news! In Tuesday’s episode of Emmerdale, Charity Dingle, played by Emma Atkins, stumbled upon some startling information that led her to suspect Tom King might have murdered Belle Dingle. Charity’s concerns had been growing, especially after learning the couple had abruptly left the village.
Charity overheard Paddy Kirk at the Woolpack expressing surprise that Tom was considering leaving the Emmerdale Veterinary Clinic. Her worries intensified, particularly since Belle and Tom had left by car when they were supposed to have dinner with Cain and Moira Dingle.
Despite being advised by Lydia that Belle and Tom were entitled to their privacy, Charity felt something was off. Belle had missed her last visit, and her support worker revealed she hadn’t seen Belle either. Alarmed, Charity called Cain for help in breaking into Belle’s home, where they discovered an address for a new veterinary job Tom intended to take.
Upon arriving at the Welsh home, Charity and Cain were met with a horrifying scene. The place was in chaos, with broken glass and overturned furniture. Amidst the mess, Charity pointed to a bloodstain on the door, leading her to fear the worst for Belle. “Where is she?” demanded Charity. Cain, with a heavy heart, replied, “Whatever he has done, he is a dead man.”
