SHOCKING TWIST!!! Emmerdale Star Danny Miller’s Book Project Goes Global! High-Five Success Story | Emmerdale Spoiler
Emmerdale star Danny Miller is celebrating the global success of his new audio book project. The actor, known for his long-standing role as Aaron Dingle, revealed that his children’s stories have been listened to in over 100 countries. Inspired by his young son Albert’s love of reading, Miller began recording audio books last year.
Last summer, he announced a collaboration with his friend, radio presenter Nigel Clucas, to release a range of spoken stories for children under the name “Albert’s Bookshelf.” Miller shared with BBC News that he launched the project after returning to Emmerdale filming, not wanting to miss out on his son’s favorite part of the day—storytime.

Describing the project’s growth, Miller said, “We’ve got an app that allows us to see where people are downloading it, and there are some countries I hadn’t even heard of. Last time I counted, it was 119 countries.” He added that what started as recording a few books has expanded into a continuous effort to provide more educational content for children.
Fellow soap stars, including Coronation Street’s Ryan Thomas and Andy Whyment, have joined Miller as guest readers for Albert’s Bookshelf. Miller and his wife Steph Jones welcomed their son Albert in October 2021, followed by their baby daughter in August 2023.
Reflecting on his role in Emmerdale, Miller admitted he didn’t enjoy the darker turn his character took upon returning to the show last autumn, stating that Aaron’s behavior became “tedious.” He expressed his preference for Aaron’s traditional persona as a “soft lovable rogue with a bit of an edge,” rather than being unpleasant to everyone.
