A major exit storyline in Emmerdale is set to unfold with a violent twist, as Sunny Sharma prepares to leave the village. The departure comes as shocking secrets about his half-brother Jai Sharma’s past actions come to light. Recently, Sunny confided in Laurel Thomas about his partner Nicky Milligan’s plans to leave Emmerdale.

Nicky has had a massive falling out with his parents, Ruby Fox Milligan and Caleb Milligan, after Ruby’s vengeful actions against Ethan Anderson, who caused an accident that seriously injured Nicky. Ruby ran Ethan over, and while Ethan initially survived, he later died from an unrelated aneurysm. When Nicky learned of Ruby’s actions, he was horrified by his parents’ attempts to cover up the truth.

Nicky, eager to leave The Dales, urged Sunny to come with him. However, after discussing it with Laurel, Sunny realized how much he was attached to his family, particularly to Jai. What Sunny didn’t know was that Jai had been involved in some vile behavior himself, seeking revenge against their father Amit. Jai had lied to Sunny, saying Amit had returned to India without saying goodbye and had cut Sunny out of the family business.

As these questionable deeds come to light, Jai has already had to spin a version of the truth to Laurel, claiming he was a victim of Eric Pollard’s blackmail while omitting the details of torturing Amit and swindling Sunny out of his inheritance. In upcoming episodes, Jai struggles to keep the truth from his brother, leading to a heated argument with Laurel, where Jai hurls nasty insults about her late husband Ashley, resulting in Laurel collapsing and being rushed to the hospital.

With both Brahm Avshar and Rana Naeem having filmed their final scenes, the drama is reaching a boiling point. The revelations and ensuing conflict might just be the final straw that sends Sunny away from Emmerdale for good.
