A major Emmerdale legend, Laurel Thomas, faces a life-threatening situation after suffering a heart attack. Laurel, a beloved character, is currently enduring a highly stressful period after uncovering Jai Sharma’s secret about Amit.

In the unfolding drama, Amit pushed Rishi down the stairs before he died, tortured his biological father for revenge, and coerced Amit to sign over his shares in the Hop business and leave for India without saying goodbye to Sunny. Eric Pollard, who knew about Jai’s dark side, exploited the situation by frequenting the Hide for free drinks. Last week, this behavior frustrated Jai so much that he snapped at Pollard, an incident witnessed by Laurel, who demanded an explanation.

In the latest episode of the ITV soap, Jai arrived at Holdgate to talk to Sunny. However, when Nikki answered the door and mentioned Sunny was in the shower, Jai used this as an excuse not to confront his brother and left. Later, he found Laurel at the church. Troubled, Jai unleashed harsh words at Laurel, insulting her late partner Ashley. Laurel stood up, called Jai a weak man, and demanded he leave.

As Jai departed, Laurel began experiencing difficulty breathing. Overwhelmed by her emotions, she suddenly collapsed to the floor. Thankfully, Gabby found her and called an ambulance. Meanwhile, at the Hide, Jai was preparing to talk to Sunny but grew irritated by Gabby’s persistent phone calls. He eventually answered and was horrified to learn about Laurel’s condition.

As Laurel was wheeled into the ambulance, Jai stood outside, visibly distressed. Sunny tried to reassure his sibling that Laurel would be all right, but with the doctors working under the assumption that she had a heart attack, Jai was left deeply uncertain about her fate.
