Emmerdale’s Tom King made plans to take Belle Dingle away from the Dales tonight as he looked up a remote cottage in Wales – but what is his plan for his wife?

Emmerdale has seemingly ‘confirmed’ a double death on the soap – as Tom King hatches a terrifying plan for Belle Dingle.

Tom has been gaslighting and abusing his wife Belle in harrowing scenes, with bosses confirming it is only set to get worse. Speaking about Tom’s motive behind his behaviour, actor James Chase explained previously: “As he said in a previous episode he is obsessed with her. There are other things going on too, but I don’t want to reveal too much just yet.

“No one has any idea. Tom is a master of performance, able to hide his true feelings and convey something very different to get people on his side. Also, Rhona and Marlon’s rising tension only helps to disguise Tom and Belles true situation.”

However, it looks like things are going to get worse and worse as Tom planned a trip for him and Belle tonight to a remote cottage in Wales, as he plans to isolate his wife from the rest of her family.

Will this lead to a shocking death for both Belle and Tom? Will Tom decide he can’t have any of the family get close to Belle for the rest of their life? Whatever happens it will no doubt be some shocking scenes.

Sharing their thoughts on the storyline, one fan wrote: “‘Tom’s the best thing that ever happened to me’. We’ll write that on your tombstone, Belle #Emmerdale,” whilst a second added: “Oh FFS – Die soon Tom #emmerdale.”

Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper recently revealed there will be another special episode involving Belle and Tom. Speaking to The Mirror this week, she said: “Belle and Tom is obviously a huge storyline for us at the moment and incredibly important but difficult storylines to watch at the moment. It’s resonating with our audience because, of course, it’s such a huge, real issue.

“We’re continuing with that story, trying to be really truthful to those kinds of relationships. We’ve got a special episode coming up that sees Tom and Belle head off to Wales on a trip away together. Actually we recreated Wales in Yorkshire. Our fantastic design team used a cottage in the village that we redressed and made this beautiful Welsh retreat.”

She added: “The story, set to the backdrop of this beautiful cottage, is going to be really hardhitting. Tom is very much isolating Belle from her family, from her surroundings, from everything that she knows and loves, which is unfortunately a typical trait of abusers. It will be difficult drama at moments, but a really important message and a really important story to continue to tell.”
