Three Emmerdale Characters LEAVING?! Major Decisions & Confirmed Exits (2024) | Emmerdale spoilers
Three more Emmerdale exits are confirmed as major characters make significant decisions this week. Ruby Fox Milligan is dealing with the fallout after Charles discovers an invoice linking her family to Ethan’s hit and run. When confronted, Caleb takes the blame but assures Charles the police won’t act since the coroner ruled Ethan’s shop death unrelated to the collision. Claudette approaches Ruby to offer support, and Ruby, burdened by guilt, confesses she was responsible for hitting Ethan, not Caleb.
In Thursday’s episode, it seemed Charles was ready to move on after his son’s death but faced a surprising twist. However, the Anderson household, including Claudette, Ruby, and Charles, agrees to put the ordeal behind them. Back at Mill Cottage, Ruby updates Caleb and refuses to forgive him for his recent actions. Ruby and Caleb also bid farewell to their son Nikki, who left the village, tired of his parents’ criminal activities and constant requests to cover for them. Frustrated by her strained relationship with Nikki, Ruby hints that leaving Caleb and the Dales might improve her chances of reconnecting with her son, leaving Caleb worried about her departure.
Elsewhere, McKenzie Boyd makes a discovery about Samson and his friend Josh. A few weeks ago, Matty accidentally stabbed Samson, but Samson and Josh fabricated a story to implicate Matty as the guilty party. As this storyline unfolds, various characters express differing opinions on the incident. While Moira believes in Matty’s innocence, Sam and Lydia side with Samson. Recently, Sarah revealed she thinks Matty should be imprisoned, possibly influenced by her crush on Josh.
In tonight’s episode, Sarah and Josh meet at the pub, where Josh reveals their plans to leave the village and go traveling have been moved up. He also mentions he won’t be a witness in the upcoming trial, intending to remain a free man. Their conversation is interrupted by Mack, who sends Sarah home. Realizing Josh and Samson’s plans to leave early, Mack grows suspicious and tells Charity they might be hiding something about the stabbing, suspecting they’re planning to flee if the truth comes out. This raises the possibility that Matty might be released from prison soon.
