UNEXPECTED TURN! Emmerdale’s Samson Dingle’s SHOCKING Police Confession (2024) | Emmerdale Spoilers 15th – 19th July
In a surprising twist, Emmerdale’s Samson Dingle is set to make a major police confession next week, aiming to clear Matty Barton’s name. Under pressure from his step-mom Lydia, Samson decides to change his statement to the police about the incident where he was stabbed. Lydia realizes Samson has been lying about the events of that day, leading to a tense confrontation.
Next week, Samson faces conflicting advice from his closest family members. His dad, Sam, suggests he flee the village to avoid trouble if his lies are exposed, but Lydia vehemently opposes this idea. She urges Samson to take responsibility and tell the truth. Choosing to listen to Lydia, Samson heads to the police station and confesses that the stabbing was an accident, and Matty was not to blame.
This confession infuriates Sam, who blames Lydia for interfering. Other members of the Dingle family also criticize Lydia for involving the police. However, Moira and Cain are relieved and pleased that Matty’s innocence is finally recognized. Moira is hopeful that Matty will soon be released from prison.

Sam’s anger escalates when he sees Cain supporting Matty, leading to a heated confrontation at the Woolpack where Sam punches Cain. Despite the tension, Cain remains resolute and even visits the Dingle House to ensure Samson has no plans to run away. This visit only fuels Sam’s anger further, and Samson fears what might happen if he is left alone with a vengeful Cain.
Meanwhile, Matty remains in prison, hopeful about his future after hearing about Samson’s confession. However, his immediate release is not guaranteed, and he must endure more time behind bars. The situation inside the prison is dire, with fellow inmate Robo making violent threats and others hurling transphobic insults. Matty is left fearing for his life, anxiously waiting for the day he might finally be freed.
Stay tuned to see how these dramatic events unfold in Emmerdale.
