Emmerdale’s Samson Dingle’s SHOCKING Police Confession (2024) | Emmerdale spoilers 15th – 19th July
In a dramatic turn of events next week, Emmerdale’s Samson Dingle makes a major police confession to clear Matty Barton’s name. Under the pressure of his step-mom Lydia, Samson finally decides to come clean about the real events leading to his stabbing at the hide.
This week’s episodes show Lydia realizing that Samson has been lying about what truly happened. Next week, Samson finds himself torn between conflicting advice from his family. His dad, Sam, suggests he flee the village to avoid the consequences of his lies being exposed. However, Lydia is appalled by this drastic suggestion and insists Samson must face the truth and speak to the police.
Heeding Lydia’s advice, Samson heads to the police station to reveal the truth. He admits that the stabbing was an accident and that Matty was not to blame. This revelation infuriates Sam, who blames Lydia for interfering. Other Dingle family members also criticize Lydia for involving the police, but not everyone is upset.
Moira and Cain are relieved that Matty’s innocence is finally acknowledged, with Moira hopeful that Matty will be released from prison soon. However, Sam’s loyalty to Matty angers Sam, culminating in a physical altercation where Sam punches Cain during a tense encounter at the Woolpack. Despite this, Cain remains undeterred and pays a stern visit to the Dingle house to ensure Samson doesn’t plan to run away.
Sam seethes over Cain’s interference, while Samson fears the consequences if left alone with a vengeful Cain. Meanwhile, back in prison, Matty is hopeful about the future upon hearing of Samson’s confession. However, his release is not immediate, and he must survive in jail a bit longer. The situation looks grim as fellow prisoner Robo continues to threaten him, and other inmates shout transphobic comments. Alone in his cell, Matty fears for his life and wonders if he’ll be freed before things get worse.
