Liam Cavanagh will discover Ella Forster’s pregnancy on Emmerdale next week, as he is overcome with emotion.

Liam and Ella started a romance earlier this year, but their relationship came under strain after Ella revealed that she had killed her friend when she was 11 years old.

With Liam unable to get over the shocking revelation, particularly as his own daughter Leanna was murdered three years ago, Ella decided to leave the village behind.

After being involved in a serious car crash upon her return, Ella has found a friend in Mandy Dingle, and she revealed to Mandy that she is now pregnant with Liam’s child.

In next week’s scenes, Ella, with support from Mandy, considers sharing her pregnancy news with Liam. Meanwhile, Liam is confiding in Chas Dingle that he is unhappy about Ella’s return to the village, but he adds that he still wants to go for a drink with Chas, with the pair still harbouring feelings for each other.

Ella’s baby news is soon revealed when she starts to feel ill while out in the village, with Liam shocked to discover the truth. He ends up sharing the news in the pub, leaving Chas upset, while Ella is also disheartened by Liam’s angry response to her pregnancy.

The following day sees Chas calm Liam as he struggles to come to terms with the prospect of becoming a father again, with his bad mood leading him to shun Ella as she attempts to speak to him at his house.

Wanting to support her friend, Mandy confronts Liam over his behaviour towards Ella. However, he only makes things worse as he demands that Ella take a pregnancy test to prove she’s telling the truth, with Ella left humiliated by his suggestion.

Will the pair be able to work through their differences, or will the pregnancy drive them even further apart?
