It is not noble to cheat on significant others and then not come clean, with the claim that their feelings are being protected. Adam and Chelsea both know they were wrong to reconnect romantically.

Claiming that the pressures of Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) OCD diagnosis and intense struggles caused what happened in the hotel suite is wrong. Adam and Chelsea have free will and mutually choose not to use it.

Chelsea’s initial impulse was to come clean to Billy shortly after returning from Maryland, and she almost did so. But then Adam got in her head.

By lying to Billy about what happened, Chelsea gives herself little to no room. He could opt to end what has been a building connection that was based on trust. She should have gone with her gut and told Billy.

Like Chelsea, Adam faces pending doom. Sally will have no basis in current reality to believe Adam is different than he was before. So, their second-time relationship is in dire danger of extinction.

Chelsea suffered severe mental health issues in the recent past. Billy was heroic when saving her from making a fatal mistake.

Adam’s cover story about talking harshly to Chelsea in Baltimore and apologizing is revealing. Personal growth has not occurred after all these years, and he has made serious errors.

He can’t blame Billy, his father, or anyone else for the box he’s put himself into. Chelsea will face the consequences of her actions when this ends badly, as it’s bound to.

Whether she makes another edgy decision by taking further comfort in Adam’s arms will also be seen soon.
