Did Tom Really Fake Piper’s Death?
It’s confirmed! Piper the Dog is not dead. Previously, it looked like Tom King had killed the dog by running the car over him. When the abuser pretended he found Piper hurt, Belle knew he was lying and went straight to the police. In the most recent episode, Tom sneaked into Dale Head to hack Belle’s computer.
Nevertheless, he was furious to find Belle had changed her password. After finally getting into her laptop, he was hit with another problem—Belle had wiped her search history. Tom quickly installed spyware before rushing out just in time for his wife to come home. As he hurried out, he accidentally knocked a magazine to the floor.
When Lydia and Belle arrived moments later, Lydia spotted the magazine and put it back. In the scenes, Tom was caught spying on Belle through her laptop as she searched for ‘How to tell a family you’re a victim of domestic abuse.’ This freaked Tom out, and he quickly called his lawyer friend Ollie for advice.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Belle used Clare’s Law to check if Tom had a history of domestic violence. Also, she held a private funeral for Piper, placing the dog’s collar on her grave. As the episode continued, it was revealed Tom had tricked everyone into thinking Piper was dead just to trouble Belle.
The vet was seen meeting a couple outside a house, setting up for them to adopt Piper. Will Belle end up losing her beloved dog forever? Or will she discover Tom’s deceit before it’s too late?
