HEARTBREAKING UPDATE!!! Emmerdale STAR CONFIRMS Return of Killer Character (2024) | Emmerdale spoilers 1st -5th July 2024

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has all but confirmed the return of a controversial killer character. At the end of May, it was revealed that newcomer Ella Ferr killed her friend as a child after the girl decided she no longer wanted to be friends. Ella, who came from a deprived background, had only ever experienced kindness from the girl’s mother, June. The thought of losing June’s support pushed Ella to a breaking point.

Ella, who has since struck up a romance with village GP Dr. Liam Cavanagh, has been punished for her crime. She moved frequently to avoid the fallout whenever her past was discovered. Though her future remains uncertain, Liam was overwhelmed with emotion upon learning her secret. Their budding relationship took a hit when Liam, still grieving his daughter Leanna’s murder by Meena Jutla, felt betrayed and angry. He demanded that Ella leave the village and never return.

However, in tonight’s episode, Liam seemed to reconsider. While chatting with Manpreet Sharma in the café, he admitted he still had some of Ella’s belongings at his house. Manpreet encouraged him to dispose of them, but Liam felt guilty about the idea of Ella coming back to find her things gone. Later, Manpreet found Liam with Ella’s items in a box, and they discussed Charles Anderson, who is distancing himself following his son Ethan’s sudden death.

After their conversation, Liam was seen pondering over Ella’s belongings and eventually walked back down the road, suggesting he might not get rid of them after all. With Ella’s return, more pain and drama are sure to follow, but the question remains: can she find forgiveness?
