In Thursday’s episode, Kim Tate made a potentially dangerous lie while the Fletchers continued to suffer over their sick baby, Evan.

In the most recent episode of the ITV soap opera, Dawn and Billy’s son was sent to the hospital due to an infection, despite Dawn having implemented strict hygiene protocols at home. At the beginning of the show, Kim covered for Billy, telling Dawn that she had sent him on an overnight assignment to Bristol the previous evening. In reality, his social distance had been compromised while he was out drinking with Nate Robinson.

Evan, who was born with a compromised immune system, had been coughing when Rose Jackson noticed it. Anxious, Dawn noted he also had a temperature and brought him directly to the hospital, where it was confirmed he had an infection. The new mother was furious that her son was receiving medical attention again but soon started blaming Evan for how he had become ill in the first place. Kim quickly clarified that an illness could not spread so quickly as Nate began to worry that his son’s health might have been jeopardized by their night out. Dawn then began to question her spouse about Nate’s true whereabouts after growing skeptical of the lie Kim had told her.

However, Kim took matters into her own hands and took the fall, pretending to have attended a business meeting at a hotel bar, which was probably the reason behind Evan’s infection. Dawn, her mother Rose, and Kim’s boyfriend Will Taylor were all appalled by her selfishness after hearing the confession.
