Emmerdale‘s Laurel Thomas gets upset next week as the implications of her split from Jai Sharma hit home.
Laurel is forced to say an emotional goodbye to her young stepson Archie after asking Jai to leave Mulberry Cottage.
Viewers recently saw Laurel and Jai have a dramatic argument over Jai’s decision to keep quiet about the full circumstances surrounding the departure of his father Amit.
Jai made some hurtful remarks about Laurel’s late husband Ashley during the row, leaving her shocked that he would stoop so low.

Laurel, who’s now recovering after suffering a heart attack, has since told Jai that their marriage is over. Despite this, Jai still holds out hope that he can somehow change her mind.
Next week, Jai’s delusions continue as he remains optimistic that his marriage can be saved.
The businessman’s mood swiftly changes when Laurel insists that it’s time to tell their children that they’ll be divorcing.

Laurel and Jai go ahead and break the sad news to the kids. Wasting no time, Laurel then tells Jai that she wants him to move out of Mulberry Cottage and back into Holdgate Farm.
Although Jai obliges, he insists on taking his son Archie with him.
It’s an emotional moment for Laurel as she’s forced to say goodbye to her stepson, but will she continue to stand firm over the break-up?

Charlotte Bellamy, who plays Laurel, recently spoke about the breakdown of her character’s relationship with Jai.
Appearing on ITV1’s Lorraine, she commented: “[Jai’s] a bit of a rotter, isn’t he? I think he’s never really matched Ashley, which I think he quotes.”
