NEWEST UPDATE!! Emmerdale fans celebrate unexpected hero who saves Belle from evil Tom

Emmerdale fans have been left rejoicing after an unexpected hero saved Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) from abusive husband Tom King (James Chase).

Tom and Belle had made a last minute trip to Wales, and it didn’t take long for things to start going downhill.

Poor Belle was left completely stunned when she discovered that Tom was preparing for them to move away from the Emmerdale village permanently, despite having never discussed it with her.

When Belle tried to argue that she didn’t want to be too far away from her family, Tom violently turned on her, leaving her terrified.

After days of gaslighting and control from Tom, Belle finally saw an opportunity to escape, and fled the remote cottage with Piper in tow.

It didn’t take Tom long to realise what she was up to and come running after her, but thankfully a hero bus driver was on hand to save the day.

As Belle jumped on the bus, she revealed that she didn’t know how much money she had, but the kind driver told her to stay on for as long as she needed, before pulling away before Tom could catch up.

Emmerdale fans were quick to take to Twitter/X to praise the bus driver for saving the day.

While one fan insisted that the bus driver may have saved Belle’s life, another said that she deserved a medal, and countless others hailed her a hero.

With Belle having escaped Tom, is he set to get his comeuppance for what he has put her through?

‘He can’t get away with it,’ actor James Chase told us.

‘I don’t know to what extent that would be, or how the storyline would end but I would think it would have to be something like that because she needs justice for what’s happened to her.

‘The viewer needs that, for all the hell we’ve seen Belle get put through we have to see her win in the end, or at the very least for him to lose.’
