Emmerdale confirms a major event featuring the iconic Kim Tate, played by Clair King, which will absolutely thrill fans. The 62-year-old actress will take center stage in an upcoming ITV special, marking the first in a series of live “An Evening With” events. Clair King, who will be interviewed by This Morning’s queen of soaps, Sharon Marshall, will discuss her incredible journey as part of one of the country’s biggest soaps.

Clair King shared her excitement, stating, “Kim Tate has been and remains an incredible part of my life. The chance to play such a powerful character is a gift for any actor, and I feel very lucky to do so.” King first joined Emmerdale as the formidable Kim Tate in 1989 when the Tate family was introduced to modernize the show. During her initial stint, Kim engaged in numerous affairs, faked her own death, and coldly watched as her husband Frank died of a heart attack, even checking her makeup in a compact mirror to ensure he was dead.

After a 19-year absence, Clair returned to the series in 2018. Currently, Kim is grappling with the return of her husband Will Taylor’s estranged ex-wife, Rose Jackson, who has moved into their family home. It has been revealed to viewers that Rose is conspiring with Ruby Fox Milligan to break up Kim and Will, enabling Ruby to take control of Home Farm and allowing Rose to emotionally support her daughter, Dawn, when everything falls apart. Despite the plot against her, Clair joked in a recent interview, “I don’t think there are many people in the world who can match Kim.”
