Emmerdale Episode POSTPONED for Euro Match-HUGE Scheduling Conflict | Emmerdale spoilers 8th to 12th
The Emmerdale episode scheduled for Friday has been postponed due to a clash with ITV’s coverage of the Euro match. Originally moved to the later slot of 8:30 p.m., the episode faced further disruption when the Spain vs. Germany quarterfinal went into extra time. The broadcaster has not yet confirmed a new air date for the episode, which has also been removed from ITVX after initially being available on the streaming service earlier in the day.
Fans have expressed their frustration over the scheduling conflict on social media, with one viewer lamenting, “Did I wait all night for Emmerdale to be canceled?” Another added, “Sick of football messing up the soaps #Emmerdale taken off last minute, and it’s not even on ITVX.” A third viewer said, “I don’t get why they can’t just have a sports channel and leave the soaps alone. My mom is absolutely raging, and she’s got me looking up what’s going on. First EastEnders, now Emmerdale.”
Emmerdale, along with other soaps, continues to face scheduling adjustments as broadcasters accommodate TV coverage of Euro 2024. Certain episodes of the show will shift to the earlier time of 7:00 p.m. on ITV, including Friday, July 12th. The soap will not air on Wednesday, July 10th, due to coverage of the second Euro semi-final, but is expected to return to its usual 7:30 p.m. slot on Monday, July 8th, Tuesday, July 9th, and Thursday, July 11th.
