Emmerdale to Air Major Change in Samson and Josh Storyline

Emmerdale is set to deliver a shocking twist in the ongoing saga of Samson Dingle and Josh Cop next week. The scheming teens have managed to deceive most of the Dingle family regarding the recent stabbing incident at the Hide. However, loyalties begin to shift when Lydia witnesses a suspicious conversation.

Next week’s episodes reveal that Samson and Josh decide to move up their planned trip around Europe. When Moira learns about this, she is determined to stop them, especially with her son Matty Barton still in prison. Moira storms into the Dingle cottage and accuses Samson of suspicious motives for wanting to leave the country. She believes Samson is trying to escape the fallout from his false accusations against Matty.

Sam, disgusted by Moira’s attitude, defends his son, convinced of Samson’s innocence. Samson reassures Sam that he will return in time for Matty’s trial, and Sam agrees to let him leave with Josh. Moira, however, is not convinced and privately vows to thwart their plans.

Later in the week, Samson’s stepmom Lydia starts to suspect that he might be lying. Her unease reaches a peak when she witnesses Josh threatening Samson in the middle of the village. Josh warns Samson about the importance of maintaining their lies and hints at serious consequences if he betrays him. Lydia is horrified to realize she may have supported the wrong side.

Swallowing her pride, Lydia meets with Moira. Moira is relieved at this potential breakthrough and begs Lydia to help. But will Lydia be willing to expose the truth?

Emmerdale’s big story for Samson began last month when he was accidentally stabbed during an attempted robbery at the Hide. With Josh determined to cover up the truth, he pressured Samson into lying that Matty had attacked him deliberately.
