Emmerdale has aired another sinister twist for Tom King as the domestic abuser plans to move to Wales with his fragile wife Belle in a bid to isolate her from loved ones.

As fans of the ITV soap will know, Tom has been tormenting Belle and making her life hell. The villain has also been driving a wedge between Belle and her family and friends, along with showing a violent streak.

The only person who is suspicious of Tom’s disgraceful behavour is Charity Dingle who tried to stage an intervention on Monday (July 1). She enlisted Chas, Lydia and Mandy Dingle to help take Belle off to the Woolpack for what a girly get-together.

Charity knew Belle would try to say she had to stay at home to care for her recently electrocuted husband, so she organised Paddy Kirk and Jimmy King to stay with him.

Charity tried to get Belle to open up about her marriage but it had the opposite affect as Belle defended Tom, and their get-togther ended on bad terms.

As Charity’s plan backfired, Tom realised she was getting closer to the truth so he made a phone call to show interest in a new job located in Wales.

During Wednesday’s trip to the village (July 3), Tom put his new plan into motion as he’s set to isolate Belle by moving her away from friends and family.

Sitting at a laptop wearing a smart suit and a cocky expression Tom spoke to his potential new employer who expressed concern over the couple wanting to move to a very secluded part of Wales.

She stated: “This isn’t so much of a question but something we’re emphasising to all of our applicants. I know that you’re currently working in a rural precinct, but it’s important that your give serious thought to where this job is located.”

This was music to Tom’s ears as he replied: “Well I have friends in Wales.”

The interviewer then announced: “It’s extremely isolated. A part from a handful of farmers there’s really no-one, how does your wife feel about the move?”.

This prompted Tom to tell another lie: “To be honest, she’s actually keen. She’s always loved the quiet life, something like this – it’s perfect for her.”

Before Tom’s meeting he encouraged Belle to take their dog Piper for a walk as he didn’t want her “burning bridges with family”, in another plot to appear innocent.

“I mean I wish she wasn’t getting it so wrong, but I’m actually glad she cares enough to stick her neck out”, he said encouraging Belle to leave the house so he could have the interview.
